Chapter 14
Y/n pov.
"Did I interrupt something?" Chaeryeong lips were stretched into a smug smile. Teasing? Again?
"Nope you didn't! We were doing absolutely nothing." I replied, wipping my calmy palms onto my skirt, flashing her a nervous smile. What was I nervous for anyways? "Let's go, Yeji is waiting for us in the car." I continued, before dragging a protesting Chaereyong away. I gave one last glance at Hyunjin and he just stuck his tongue out at me. Urgh this drama lama...
“Where were you just now, Chaeryeong?” I asked once we exited the club.
“Huh? I was dancing on the dance floor. I waved at you but you didn’t seem to notice me.” Chaereyong replied. “So I followed you. And, I saw the entire drama, the ‘tug of war’ thing was especially interesting.” She continued, giggling as my face reddened.
“Unnieee.” I whined, smacking her shoulder playfully.
“You two are here, finally!” Yeji sighed pulling Lia’s hair behind her shoulders as Lia vomited into the grass. I cringed slightly as Chaeryeong gagged. “Y/n come and help me with Lia. Chaereyong, go into the car to make sure the other two don’t throw up.” Yeji continued as she passed Lia some tissue.
“Yes Madam!” Chaereyong did a salute before hopping into the back seat.
“You okay, unnie?” I asked Lia, passing her a bottle of water which she gladly accepted.
“Much better.” She hummed.
“Oh, I got a call. Let me answer it real quick.” Yeji threw me a smile before turning around. I nodded and helped Lia into the car.
“What’s up?” I quirked a brow as Yeji ended the call.
”Well, you aren’t gonna go back with us.” Yeji answered.
“I thought you said that I’m going back with ya’ll cause Stray Kids still have some stuff to discuss with Jyp?”
“Chan told me that one of them would accompany you back first as they still have a lot of security checks to do after the meeting.” Yeji explained.
“Who is accompanying me back then?” I asked.
“He should be here any minute. It’s a surprise.” She smirked. I furrowed my eyebrows.
“Annyeong~ Seems like you can’t get rid of me that easily, clumsy head.” I recognised my nickname that a particular brunette gave me and of course that familiar voice.
“Hello to you too, *. Didn’t know it was going to be you. What a boring surprise.” I rolled my eyes. But on the other hand, I felt excitement bubbling up within me. I pushed that feeling down.
Hyunjin’s pov.
“Clumsy head, do I look like I want to be here too?” I retorted, only to feel pain on my right foot because of Yeji.
“You deserved that.” Yeji hissed.
“What the hell, Noona? Y/n started it first!” I groaned. This was not Yeji’s first time stomping on my foot. Although she was shorter and lighter than me, when she smacks and kicks people, it’s really painful.
“Well, too bad. I like her more than you.” Yeji shrugged, making Y/n flash a smug sheepish smile at me.
”Yeji Unnie! SAVE ME! Ryujin vomited! I’m scared of vomit. No no NOOOOO! DONT VOMIT ON ME!” Chaereyong screeched. I burst into laughter.
“You two should leave soon too. I’m going back to the dorm with my members. See you guys tomorrow!” Yeji continued, waving with a cheerful smile before returning back into the car, grabbing plastic bags and wet wipes out from the boot.
“Should we leave now, princess?” I ruffled Y/n’s hair much to her annoyance. She smacked my hand away lightly.
“Sure, but why do I have to leave early? Can’t I just follow you guys around? It’s only nine o’clock.” She asked, her adorable doe eyes stared back at me.
“From Chan’s point of view, you are still a little kid that needs to rest and sleep.” I answered.
“I’m not a kid.” She huffed with her arms folded across her chest.
“Cute.” I chuckled, pinching her cheeks lightly, making her glare at me. I opened the car door and gestured for her to go in. Y/n mumbled a quick thanks before entering the car. I swiftly followed before closing the door shut. “Back to the dorm please, Ahjussi.” I told the driver before leaning back into my seat. “Wear your seatbelt.” I whispered to Y/n.
“I’m trying to.” Y/n replied. I noticed her having some trouble with the seatbelt.
“Let me help you.” I offered. My fingers brushed her neck on purpose as I reached for the seatbelt. She shivered slightly, making me smirk at her reaction. Just then, the car took a sharp swerve to the right, making Y/n fall onto me. My eyes widened as I felt her soft, warm lips on my collarbone, sending a fuzzy feeling through me.
“Sorry.” She mumbled as she pulled back, bitting her bottom lip in embarrassment.
“I-it’s okay.” I stuttered, feeling my cheeks heat up. I thanked the darkness silently.
“For the first time, Hyunjin. Did you just stutter?” Y/n teased.
“No I did not!” I scowled. “And are you going to sit on my lap the whole time?” I teased back.
Y/n pov.
I just seemed to realised the awkward position Hyunjin and I were in and immediately pushed off his lap and fumbled for my seatbelt. Gosh Y/n… you kissed his collarbone and straddled him?!? I buried my face in my hands, my cheeks turning crimson red.
“Clumsy head, like I said, let me help you with the seatbelt.” Hyunjin snatched my buckle from me. His soft brown hair tickled my shoulder.
“Thanks Hyunjin.”
“No prob.” He chirped. How is not not embarrassed or anything?
The car ride was silent. I glanced at Hyunjin and noticed him staring out of the window. The pale moonlight shone onto his skin, making him look ethereal. I admired his beautiful features, not aware that my eyelids were slowly dropping due to the tiredness.
Hyunjin’s pov.
I felt something heavy on my shoulder. I glanced to my left and noticed that Y/n has fallen asleep on my shoulder. I smiled lightly as I tugged a strand of her hair behind her ear. Just then, I noticed a scar behind her earlobe. It was a shape of a crescent. I traced the scar gently. Where have I seen it before? It looks so familiar…
”You know, the both of you look quite good together.” The driver commented, breaking my train of thoughts.
“Actually, she isn’t my girlfriend.” I replied.
“But you like her, don’t you?” The driver pointed out, making me remain silent. Do I like Y/n? Or was it a simple crush?
”I don’t know…” I murmured.
“I know this feeling is probably confusing, but if you really do like her, then don’t be scared. Embrace the feeling and make her yours.” The driver smiled.
“Thanks for the advice, Ahjussi.” I said sincerely, wrapping my arm around Y/n’s shoulder tightly.
”We’re here.” The driver announced.
“Y/n? We’ve reached.” I rubbed her back gently as I unbuckled her seatbelt.
“Mhmm.” Her eyelashes fluttered as she sat up straight, rubbing her eyes groggily.
“Cute.” I whispered.
“Stop calling me cute-“ her sentence was then cut of by a yawn. “Gamsahamnida.” She thanked the driver as she stumbled out of the vehicle. The driver gave me a pat on my shoulder. I nodded before climbing out of my seat.
